The houses of the Haagdijk in Breda were built in the late Middle Ages. They were then given names, instead of numbers like we are used to.
The characters designed for these houses are based on the original names. They fit in our time and do not restrict but broaden the meaning.
Solid material and bold shapes go together with elegance, sublety and movement. The signs play with the weather: wind, shadow, light.
Every one of the 25 signs embodies a well wought challenge of the tooth of time.
